Sylvia Robinson was one half of Mickey & Sylvia. They had a hit in 1957 with “Love Is Strange”. In 1973 she had a #3 hit with “Pillow Talk”. She was a co-founder of Sugar Hill records and in 1979 she was instrumental in the formation of the Sugar Hill Gang and the release of “Rapper’s Delight” and Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five’s “The Message”.
